I know Alexa is widely considered deprecated as the information on there is not accurate & can be very easily "manipulated", however from time to time I do look at it for the sake of giggles n shits.
Today I noticed this message appear:

Of course there really is no useful information that explains what these changes will be except for an obscure reference to "increasing the size of our data panel", whatever that means.
I'd be interested to know if anyone on here knows anything about what Alexa is up to besides "increasing the size of our data panel"...

We're excited to announce that starting in October, we'll be increasing the size of our data panel. That's the sample of Internet traffic we use to calculate non-Certified metrics. Because a bigger data sample means we can make better estimates, you may see your Alexa rank and site metrics change over the next month as a result, especially if your site is ranked above 100,000.
